Michael Sander`s Visit to Utah: Week Two

After a hugely successful first week in Utah reestablishing connections and creating new ones, Michael Sander and Tyler Anderson had more opportunities to meet with executives and others in the direct selling business that is so prevalent in Utah.

The first day started with a great meeting with Sisel International Founders Tom Mower Sr. and Tom Mower Jr. The two MLM titans graciously took time out of their schedule to sit down with Tyler and Michael to discuss Sisel’s future plans and the company’s relationship with OBTAINER. As OBTAINER readers will know, Sisel expanded rapidly in the first few years since its founding. Markets opened in the US, Asia and all throughout Europe. The kick-off event in Frankfurt in March of 2009 was a huge success. The Mowers explained the need for proper leadership in a company; both on the corporate and the executive side, which is something that Sisel is constantly striving for in order to become one of the greatest companies in the industry. The former Neways owner expressed confidence in the future and is sure that the mark Sisel makes on the industry is bound to be a great one.


The following day, Michael and Tyler visited the Synergy headquarters in Pleasant Grove. They met with Tyler Rippy, Executive Director of Marketing. The main topic of discussion was Synergy’s long relationship with OBTAINER. The two have been in close contact one with another for years, and that will not likely change any time soon. Mr. Rippy expressed eagerness to strengthen ties to OBTAINER, and knows that it truly is a testament to a company’s strength and integrity to be mentioned positively in OBTAINER’s pages. Synergy’s fantastic products and compensation have proven to be a cut above the rest, and the OBTAINER staff admires the honest way it does business with its distributors.

The last day of Michael’s stay in Utah consisted of visits to two of OBTAINER’s oldest friends. XANGO and MonaVie. At XANGO, he and Tyler met with founders Brian Davis and Aaron Garrity, and also Beverly Hollister. The primary topic of the day was XANGO’s new weight loss program FAVAO. Michael and Tyler watched testimonials from those who have tried the product and experienced extraordinary results. It is definitely much more than a fad diet and provides noticeable lasting results. This new product line, along with the Glimpse skin care lines and the Juni personal care line have shown that XANGO has expanded beyond a juice only company to offer an extraordinary array of products.

Bob Freeze greeted Michael and Tyler at the MonaVie headquarters in South Jordan Utah, and was excited to share the success of MonaVie’s recent 2.0 Convention held in Dallas Texas. With an impressive gathering of several thousand people, the company’s new direction was well received and should position the company for an impressive future. After two weeks of meetings, Michael left Utah with a renewed vigor to provide OBTAINER readers with the best, most up-to-date information available regarding everything MLM. His travels take him all over the world, but Utah has a special place in his heart, and he has some dear friends that live and work in the Salt Lake area. OBTAINER readers can be sure that when Michael meets with executives and distributors alike, he always has the best interest of the readers at heart.

Rumors are flying all over the internet that top earner Robert Dean Jr. and T.O.P.G.U.N have been terminated by The Limu Company (Limu).

Limu confirms that Robert Dean Jr. and T.O.P.G.U.N have not been terminated and are still very much a part of the company. However, Dean and thirty other T.O.P.G.U.N members have been suspended due to contravention of Limu`s policies and procedures. Investigations continue into rumors that Dean and his cohorts have joined another MLM company, Momentis Energy, which is the marketing arm of Just Energy out of Canada.

Dean, who grew up in a lower class neighborhood in Atlanta Georgia changed his life from working over 40 hours a week and earning hand to mouth at FedEx to earning a seven figure income each year.

The TOPGUN Group formed by Dean and his partners have been accused of leaving Limu prematurely after signing a contract to stay with the company for a minimum of five years. He has been rumored to have left six other companies in three years, stating when leaving each that their was no money to be made there. Robert Dean has confirmed on an on-line video that he is committed to Limu for the next five years as he has finally found what he and his group have been looking for. Namely a company that will change peoples lives.

Michael Sander’s Visit to Utah: Week One

After visiting the Organo Gold Convention in Las Vegas at the beginning of January, Michael Sander came to Utah to accompany OBTAINER Sr. Relationship Manager, Tyler Anderson, on a tour throughout the Valley to visit some of the many direct selling companies in the area.

It all began on January 11, 2012, with visits to Young Living, doTerra and Xyngular. At Young Living Michael and Tyler met with Shane Smith and discussed the long relationship between OBTAINER and the Essential Oil giant. The relationship between us has been long and amicable and they discussed how to keep it strong in the future.

Shortly after, they went to doTerra for the first time. The company, which also sells oils, is relatively new and trying to find its place within the industry. However, MarCom Manager, Ashlee Dean, and European Manager, Juergen Suckow, explained the company’s long-term strategy and its grass-roots campaign to get its message out. By avoiding debt, and being fiscally responsible, the company has long-term goals in mind, rather than a huge bang at the beginning followed by an even quicker fizzle. This will certainly be a company to watch in the future!


Xyngular, the next company on the list, is also a new company, but is exploding across the United States. As Michael and Tyler met with Marc Walker, founder of Xyngular, it became clear the Xyngular has one vision: Growth. Expansion is the name of the game with this company, and there does not seem to be much stopping them from becoming a giant within the industry. Their weight loss products are taking the industry by storm, and it won’t be long before Xyngular is playing with the Big Boys.

The next day they visited Yoli, the Better Body Company. Robby Fender, one of the founders, could hardly contain his enthusiasm for the direction of the company, the growth that it has achieved in the last two years, and the relationship that Yoli has with OBTAINER. With top of the line products, a fantastic compensation plan, and excited and competent leadership Yoli has done wonders in the short two years that it has been in existence.

Shortly after, Michael and Tyler visited Ariix. OBTAINER has previously reported on Ariix’s recent buy out of Dee Mower’s Trivani, and Michael and Tyler went and visited with General Manager Mary Dee, took a tour of the facilities, and briefly met a few of the executives. After acquiring Trivani, Ariix is poised to make a big splash even though the company is still only in pre-launch mode.

The final day of the week, the two visited with Kara Schneck, Director of Corporate Communications of Nu Skin. The three discussed Nu Skin’s future building, and Michael and Tyler were shown a model of the impressive new building that is currently being built in the heart of downtown Provo, right next to the existing Nu Skin building. Tyler and Michael were also allowed to sample some of Nu Skin’s extraordinary skin care products and were nothing but impressed. Nu Skin seems to be a company that has been able to weather the many storms that have blown across the industry, and it seems to be a beacon of stability in the sometimes volatile world of direct selling.

A few of these companies had previously had little contact with OBTAINER, but now that is going to change. As we continue to be the number one direct selling magazine in the world, relationships with every MLM Company in the industry is important. With a new office in Salt Lake City, headed by Tyler Anderson, OBTAINER readers can expect to be more up to date and aware of what’s going on within the “MLM Corridor.” The week started off and ended great! And afterward, Michael still had another week to look forward too!

Scam Alert: Rich Corps

Claiming to be an Independent Private Funds Management Company, Rich Corps shows all the classic signs of a scam. It says that it is “a small and exclusive Funds Manager with a strong commitment to place the Individual at the heart of every relationship.” Do not be fooled by the family friendly, honest sounding language.

The first warning sign is the company’s website. With as much money claims to have, the website is shoddy at best. While financial services are extremely beneficial, the percentage of returns the company claims is outrageous. A 2500% increase after 30 days can in no way be realistic, along with that the company claims to have a 5% referral commission.

It is clear, from the FAQ page, and the website as a whole, that this company is preying on those who do not fully understand the investment process. There is no telephone number located on the website, and only an email template is provided. For those willing to invest the money in the company (which has a cap of USD$ 50,000) the ability to talk to a person on the telephone with questions about their financial decisions is apparently too much to ask. There is a 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed Seal on the website, but no explanation on how to get refunds, or cancel services.

OBTAINER will always keep an eye out for scams and ridiculous “to good to be true” offers. In an effort to keep the industry honest, OBTAINER will never hesitate to expose dishonest and dangerous business practices.
